James Pollard has advised, financed, or principally invested in transactions totaling over $40 billion. He sources, structures, and negotiates investments for financial and strategic sponsors, as well as serves as an advisor to several start-ups at the convergence of the technology and media industries. James was a Vice President in the Entertainment Industries Group at J.P. Morgan, where he structured financings and provided advisory services globally for content production and distribution companies, such as DreamWorks Animation, Legendary Entertainment, New Regency, and Village Roadshow. Prior to J.P. Morgan, James was an investment professional at Colony Capital, a private equity firm that has invested over $60 billion of total capital, where he was responsible for the identification, evaluation, and consummation of new investments in the media and real estate sectors. James started his career as an investment banker in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Bear Stearns. He graduated with honors from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Business Administration.
